Steak & Main on the TRAVEL CHANNEL the TRAVEL CHANNEL was just here filming MAN V. FOOD with ADAM RICHMAN. he did a show on THE GREAT STEAK CHALLENGE we have here. 5 steaks plus potato and veg. about 5.5 lbs of food you have to consume in one hour and also win $100.00, but if you lose it costs $140.00. its was a blast. great crew, great show. watch it Oct 28th 2009.
Steak & Main is Excellent The Steak & Main - fantastically quaint atmosphere of actually being able to have a quiet dinner with someone you want to have a conversation. The menu is great; with the chef putting a lot of love into his preparation. The deserts are to die for! The service is very good. They also have a bar area and outside dining, if you prefer. Always good, the best place in town On average we eat at the Steak and Main once a week. The service is always good and the food is always of high quality and very well prepared. We recommend them over Woody's on the quality of food, fresh vegetables etc and they are a better value. Highly recommend the crab soup and sushi mi. Most of the time we eat in the bar area. Dissapointing The Steak and Main has been one of my favorite restaurants in North East. I have raved about it and recommended it many of times over the years. But I must say how disappointed I was yesterday. My daughter and grandson are visiting from Knoxville TN, we had went to many of the shoppes on Main Street having a great time, enjoying the day and went to Steak on Main for lunch because I wanted to share a delicious meal with her. Always Outstanding!!! "Fabulous food, always well prepared. They pay attention to detail in mixing drinks and even the wines by the glass or bottle are well worth trying. The service is always exceptional, the attention of the staff always makes dining at Steak & Main seem like a special occasion. The location, small town North East, MD just adds to the ambiance."
Always a Great Meal If you are coming to eat casual at the Oyster Bar or taking it up a notch and dining at the Steak n Main you will not be disappointed. Chef Dave does an excellent job in preparing your meal just the way you like it. It is hands down the best dining in the town of North East and the local area. Try the Scallops or the Fillet they are mouth watering!! Come see for yourself and trust me you will be back.
good but..... Service is very slow. Place is very clean and food is very good, but it is priced very high. Slow service is ok if you want a very relaxing and laid back evening.
Very Disapointed! Well needless to say there is more hype to this restaurant because Man v. Food was there however it certainly doesn't live up to the task ...obviously the previous reviewers are from people who live there & they don't get around to different restaurants that often! Great Food, Great Crowd of Customers Easily the best restaurant in Cecil County. Food is always top notch, with amazing specials every night. Chef Dave is easily one of my favorite Chef's that I've ever had the pleasure of eating food from. Tony can often be found sitting at the bar talking with his customers. Great wine selection and they carry Dogfish 90min IPA (which is great for those of us that are beer snobs).
