The Angry Cook, One in our party thought he would knife us any time. The cook had no showmanship at all in fact is was a race to see how fast he could cook our food, and he just plane looked mad during the whole ordeal. No egg toss which our grandsons 4 and 11 always enjoy, as well the tossing of the shrimp. Our bill usually runs about 190.00 to 300.00.. Mikato Japanese Steak House is the worst sushi experience I have ever had. The waitress in the sushi bar is absolutely the rudest person I have ever met. We went back a second time to give it another try and she was just as rude as the first time. She spilled water all over my husband's leg and did not even say she was sorry. The food is delicious if you can't get past the horrible service.
Service I have been there several times and I have received good service half the time, and the last time we went the guy at the grill had no personality what so ever so we decided to try Sho Gun on Airport Blvd and its alot better and better service, food, drinks,
Mikato Me and my husband loved it. The cook we had at the grill was a lot of fun. Especially the joke he made about "Japanese Cowboy." My husband tells everybody about that. Also the food was wonderful and even had to get take outs. i recommend that place to everyone. I been there several times and will go back again. The service may not be good enough for rich people because they don't cut up the food for ya, but fine for those who used to McDonalds! Ha ha!

Poor Service and Poor Attitude from Wait Staff I have been to Makato many times and I guess I am a glutten for punishment. The service is poor and the waitstaff acts like you should feel honored to have them serve you. Especially the girl that waites on you at the sushi bar. The menu is very limited. Today when we went for lunch, we wanted UDON soup. They do not serve UDON. We did not want sushi and I was not keen on the hibatchi grill. review anybody that eats raw fish deserves a rude waitress. I could imagine smelling raw fish all day would make anyone rude. just sayin.. And i also think if some people would try waiting on tables for a while they would be a little more sympathetic. I am taking my family of 7 today and will let you know my exact thoughts later tonight but i'm going in with 5 stars yee haw and i'm not eatin raw fish.
We love Mikato's I have been to Mikato's several times, you have to try the Bama roll (sushi) it is yummmmmmmm. I have had poor service on an occasion or two but the food is still great, I look past it. The restaurant themselves can not always help the attitude of the waitress, however I know every time I have ever had a problem, we never see that waitress again. So no matter what, give it a 2nd try if you don't like the first. I have never been disappointed in the food or the grill show.
