Older hotel with nice rooms, decent bar, secure off street parking. 2 blocks from Bourbon St.
Hotel St. Marie surprised us in the best way. My travel friend and I were looking for a hotel that was close to the French Quarter and affordable, everything else would be just bonus. St Marie isn't just near the French Quarter, it's actually IN it which was VERY convenient and the price was actually really good too. I am re-writing this review with an update. My last one I gave one star but that is just not accurate. My reason was one bad apple at the hotel, Tonya, who was beyond rude and completely out of line while dealing with me when I asked where I could find water, but she didn't completely ruin our time. Thankfully she was just the night attendant and not the day, she has no business dealing with the public. However, we had an excellent experience with Betsey. Very friendly, helpful, and kind.
