It’s was my second time with P& O and both the time wasn’t good experience. It is sad. This trip with Pacific Explorer to Tasmania. 7 days cruise and I started feeling sick from day 3. Itchy throat and started with dry cough all day. I have also noticed many people were coughing around me as well. On day 5, I was really sick with fever and getting flu like symptoms. Occasionally I like to come here and watch the sailors return from their round-the-world voyagé. Sometimes I even put on my old-timey-wimey glasses and imagine I’m seeing the migrants arriving after the war; Italians, Greeks……………………. Tasmanians… But instead it’s just boat load after boat load of cruise goers. Get lost cruise ships
Station Pier has such a classic Melbourne feel to it — a mix of old-world charm and modern movement. Whether you’re boarding the Spirit of Tasmania or just going for a walk along the waterfront, it’s always got something happening. The views over the bay are gorgeous at sunset, and there’s a nice breeze even on hot days. Could use a bit more maintenance and signage, especially for first-timers, but overall it’s a solid part of our city’s coastal identity.
