The props were amazing. I've been to many of haunted houses/attractions and this takes the cake. The setup and location was phenomenal. The only suggestion I have is to separate the groups of people that enter the haunted forest. They sent in the groups too close to each other and the actors didn't have much time between scares. Other then that 5/5 stars!
Wow...where to start? How long can I make this thing? I had heard prior to going that this was a haunted "experience" more than a haunted house...that is spot on in the most positive way possible. It starts from the second you board the bus at the Metra lot and are taken down the long road into the woods. OMG.....awesome experience one of the best haunted houses I've visited.
HellsGate was a GORGEOUS house. A very wonderful experience and I see a lot of potential and will be willing to come back again! I don't want to give anything away, but the beginning is just awesome! ONLY downside was the lines. About 3 lines and roughly an hour wait. Not terrible for the Saturday before Halloween, but they got old in the end. Great job!
First of all I almost didn't go after reading the reviews about the wait times being 4-5 hours, however I went on a Thursday night got there about 9pm and hardly any wait. Now, the cemetery and woods were pretty cool, the actors were on their A game and definitely got me a few times. Looking back I feel like they had some missed opportunities to get more scares; not sure if lack of actors or what but I was expecting more. As for the house, the effects were awesome inside and out.
