Visited this haunt about two weekends ago and am now getting around to the review. Wow, all I can say is that this place has so much potential and is such a unique and creative haunted house. It's special effects and set designs are like Disney quality, it is that good. I would have just liked to have seen it be a little longer, especially the haunted woods area, the scenes were really cool, but there needs to be more consistency with the sets and actors in that area. Quite simply, the best Haunted House I've ever seen.
Take the adventure. . . . . The Hellsgate Haunted House totally lived up to the hype for me . From using the natural woods and rock formations , to the haunt actors waiting in the darkness to "Entertain"the next patron to come throgh the haunted trail. A fun time even before you get to the haunted house itself. The Mansion production values are some of the best overall sets I have seen to rival disneyland in my opinion. Again what a wonderful halloween adventure that I will not forget for a long time.
It's a great show, no doubt! 5 stars on the effects and lovely actors! But, I spent more time appreciating the art, than actually being scared! By the time we reached the end, I was like.. "Oh... It's over." 3 stars on the "scary" scale from me. I think this one's more fun for youngsters or folks who are not looking for a heart attack experience haha. LOVED IT !!!!! SO MUCH SCARY FUN !!!! WORTH EVERY CENT. BUY VIP... without giving too much away. It's an experience unlike any of the other ones in the area.
The experience was definitely fun, but in all honesty, I was hoping for it to be a whole lot scarier. I appreciate all of the visuals offered. It was obvious that so much thought and effort had gone into the whole place, which is admirable. It's a truly phenomenal display of horror. I just wish it was scarier. Maybe in my early teens (I'm 22), things just seemed scarier? I'm not sure. I could see almost every character before they jumped. Not saying it was predictable, but...
