It was a great start for its first year of operation. I boarded the bus right away, after my GPS took me on a detour around Lockport in order to get to the Metra station. The bus ride out was actually pretty spooky, I told someone if you put a couple actors out on that dirt road and slow the bus just a little...it would be such a great scare just because of that atmosphere. This is a haunt to see! First off, the reviews about lines and chaos just to get to the haunt isn't anywhere near as bad as people say it is. It's a haunted house that spaces out is guest to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy each room without interruption from the group in front of them or behind. I have never seen such set and story design, from the haunted path to the haunted mansion. Characters are well hidden. The walk through the woods to the house was well done. The house is beautifully done. Actors do there parts very well. Only thing I didn't like was the mad scramble for the key at the end. People shoved my daughter and her friend trying to get a free ticket.
Very well done, lots of actors. Don't want to give anything away so just GO! But beware!
My husband went yesterday with his friend and loved it! His friend got the Hell Pass to celebrate his birthday by scaring my husband to the core of his being [They call this fun?]. It worked! My husband said he felt like he was the center of the entire experience. When he came home he could not stop talking about how much fun they had and how great everyone on staff was in making the haunted experience memorable. Happy Birthday Steve Werrbach. Sounds like it was worth every penny!
This haunt was amazing! The amount of time they put into the details, making sure everything was perfect. The actors all stayed in character, the interactions they had with customers were spot on! Great haunt! Definitely check it out, good haunted houses have long lines. It's worth the wait!
