We stopped in to try Stateline road Smokehouse last night and were impressed by the food overall. I liked the concept of building your bbq platter. We stuck to beef and tried the brisket and burnt ends with many sides. Brisket was delicious. Burnt ends good as well, but some pieces a little dry. Not to be to harsh but the Mac and cheese to salty… brisket sub par (not to Smokey) lacks taste. The salad was ok but could have been fresher ingredients. The ribs itself ok with the bbq sauce. If it wasn’t for the sauce it would have been store bought. All in all $100 for the tab. Would I come again.. probably not. Great people and service but not enough for me to spend $20 on 3 slices of bland brisket.
