We're more than a fruit store. Although it opened in the 1930's as a fruit store, State Street has grown to be much more. We have always offered produce from Connecticut River Valley neighbors whenever available. As the Local Hero movement has grown, we've continued to expand these offerings. RecommendedDuring the pandemic, State St has been AMAZING. Offering curb side pick up or delivery along with hours for people to shop for themselves, all with smiles and warmth and thoughtfulness. They have become my go-to store for all my grocery needs. I just fill out the order form and pick up the next day; they put straight into my trunk. They've gone out of their way to let me know when things I was interested in were back in stock. It has really made my life easier.
Great place to eat. Sandwiches to order and great coffee.

Nice grocery items where you can find special treats. Also it is locally owned. However, in the last few weeks the Deli is a huge disappointment. Deli clerk asked me if he could help me find anything and my answer was no because they no longer have some wonderful Friday items - MacNcheese and clam chowder. They have the BEST sandwiches in western Massachusetts!! Reasonably priced too!! I eat here everyday!! Denver on pumpernickel!! Is my favorite! But there’s soooo many more!! Stay awesome state street fruit stay awesome!!👍👍
THIS IS THe second complaint I've made...about the hot meal to go...the Pineapple and pork rice was a complete let down....Pork was overcooked, dry and hard... Pineapple was lost in the boring array of rice mixture.. seems they don't know how to cook anything much more than mac and cheese.. I will not be wasting my money on any further take out meals... For a store that is suppose to be high end catering to the discriminating college public... these meals are a disaster

The fruits and vegetables are excellent. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. But it's the deli I go there for. They have literally the best sandwich!!! Yesterday, I lived dangerously, I Had A Bronx Tale deli sandwich... delish
