As a parent of a resident, I am very appreciative of the excellent staff at State on Campus in Tuscaloosa. As a second year resident, it is very evident that the management team has made a very positive impact on this property and things continue to improve daily. New property manager, KP, has been extremely helpful on several occasions, answering questions and providing support during difficult situations. State is a great option for students looking for apartments near campus. The new renovations are great, and the new management has excellent communication and customer support. Freeman (head of maintenance), is especially great! He always ensures that work orders are attended to in a timely manner and is always happy to answer/address questions and concerns.
We had a terrible experience with State on Campus. We had a tour scheduled, and they completely stood us up. No one showed up, and there was no call, text, email, or communication whatsoever explaining what happened. We tried calling the phone number they provided us, only to get a message saying the line had been deactivated. So not only did they stand us up for the scheduled tour, we couldn’t even reach anyone to find out what was going on. Whatever you do DO NOT LIVE HERE!! My AC was broken for months and multiple times and they wouldn’t fix it. I had a maintenance man tell me they had more important things to worry about when my bathtub wouldn’t drain. While I was not there and in the process of moving out I had people come into my apartment without my knowledge, move my belongings, leave beer in my fridge inside a trash bag, leave all the lights on (i was still responsible for paying the electricity bill so it was very high). the front office is a joke and w... read more
