Great Weekend Getaway! My husband has treated me twice to a wonderful weekend stay at the State House Inn. The accommodations are wonderful and the staff is very friendly. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi tub which can't be beat. The State House Inn is within walking distance to many great Annapolis restaurants and attractions.
New Innkeeper at State House iNn – Dear previous guests, Hello! I am the new innkeeper here at the State House Inn. I am now answering the phone and treating people like the royalty they are when staying with us. For the guest that stayed with us in Feb. of 2010, I am very sorry you did not have a pleasant stay but if you would come and stay again I would show you now that we are 200% better. I am usually not a person who complains or leaves bad reviews but in this case I feel I had to write in order to warn fellow travelers! The stay was absolutely horrid. When we arrived at 2 in the afternoon the "Inn" was closed and we had to call ( a phone number attached to the door) to get a waitress from the attached restaurant to help us in. Terrible – They said someone would meet me at the Inn entrance to help me with my bags.....untrue....3 trips to the 2nd floor. They said someone would drive my car to the parking lot.......untrue. When I left the next morning to get my car to load up, I came back to find the front door to the Inn locked. I called the Inn, they said someone would be there in 5 min.....untrue. 20 mins later and 2 phones later still no one had come. Finally, someone who was staying at the Inn showed up and let me in. It has been 4 years since the first time my wife and I spent a weekend at the Inn. My wife still says it was the most romantic Valentines Day of her life.
