The upright position is good for claustrophobics. If you do start to get anxious you can always just stand up and walk right out.
The staff and MRI tech at Stat Upright MRI in Vineland NJ are kind and very helpful but the findings in the written report I received are hard to believe. It states several times that my motion limited the results of the exam. I was motionless throughout the procedure. I went to get a regular MRI in Tom’s River, but I guess I was too claustrophobic and couldn’t go through with it. It was important to me to get it done that day and so I looked around to try to find an upright MRI place and when I called Stat in Vineland Andrea answered, she was so helpful. She got me an appointment for 3 o’clock on the same day. everyone there was great I was able to get it done. I was really nervous but I handled it so well. The techs were through and nice. I finally was able to get this mri done after two tries at other places. The machine itself was nice and open. Thank you Stat imaging for doing my mri!
Went for an open MRI. Everything went fine. Didn't have to wait as previous person canceled their appointment and I was the last one. Not being stuck in a tube but being able to sit up was far better. Everyone was friendly enough and it went quicker than I was expecting.
