Just a call-out to a good Samaritan. I originally called to see if someone could help me with a Excel sequencing issue of columns. He stated he didn't have the know-how. And then we ended our conversation. Less then a minute later, Shawn form Starwest then called me back and asked what my issue was. He then went remote with my computer and I explained what my issue was and what I needed. Had a drive failure on my PC. First location told me it would take weeks to fix and would not attempt to clone the drive. I decided to get a second opinion and am very glad I did. Joshua explained the process thoroughly and set expectations very clearly. He kept me well informed through the process and was able to get my PC back to me in 2 days and made sure everything was running properly and all updates were current. I took my laptop into the StarWest in Layton Utah. Everyone was very friendly when I walked in. Josh has years of experience. He was able to explain to me what to expect from the possible outcomes based on the problems my computer was exhibiting. I was in a bind, as this is the computer I use for my school programming projects. The problem was diagnosed quickly, the repair costs were reasonable and affordable. Their average 5.0 rating with hundreds of reviews says it all. Josh and the other guru are very, very good. They serve enterprises and the elderly lady who doesn't know a lot about computers. I think their secret is caring, combined with a lot of skill, experience and integrity. They also have really good prices on computers when its time to get a new computer.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at StarWest Computers. The guy working there was super nice, down-to-earth, and actually helpful without trying to upsell me or make me feel like I didn’t know what I was doing. Before coming here, my friend and I had shown our parts list to a couple other shops in the area (including one that tried to convince us to return everything and spend way more on stuff we didn’t need).
