I was visiting in Colorado Springs and I’ve been strength training using the Starting Strength guidelines and principles for a while. I went to the Starting Strength gym and everything about it is 5 stars! Great set of racks and weights, great supportive environment from the other lifters, and great, experienced, expert supervision and coaching. The coach, Andrew, was attentive and provided timely cues, a great workout!

The program works. JD and Andrew will help you get stronger. This gym is for everyone, make no mistake. I joined wanting to learn good form and left adding hundreds of pounds to my lifts. If you are serious about wanting to lift weights, it is totally worth the price.

The personal hands on training makes sure you don’t make mistakes. The assessment gets you started and your progress is measured. If you’re struggling, they get you on track to make sure you’re building muscle not just lifting as much as you can. It’s a great personal program tailored to you and your body needs.

JD (and Andrew) are amazing coaches and pay attention to the details of each lift, modifying technique as needed enabling me to move past the places I usually get stuck. The atmosphere is fun, encouraging, and motivating. A... read more
