Cannot say enough good things about Starting Strength Beaverton. The coaching staff is incredible! They are knowledgeable, passionate and give advice and feedback tailored to each lifter. They'll help you set goals and program your workouts to reach them. It's a great community. There are no big egos, there is a lot of mutual support and everyone has a good time. Starting Strength Beaverton is a great place for anyone interested in getting strong.
I've lifted without a coach for awhile and stopped making any real gains. My wife and I decided to start at the Starting Strength in Beaverton and absolutely loved it. The coaches were super knowledgeable and very good at helping you understand how to lift without injury and maximize the benefits from the effort. I learned so much!
Started in March 2025, after five months I've seen huge gains in strength and learned correct techniques to prevent injuries. Great environment, wonderful people, fantastic coaching from the most knowledgeable & dedicated staff -- Amanda and Joshua are the best! This gym is all about results. I've gained muscle & power, lost 8% body fat, and I'm still on track for steady increases. Doesn't matter your age or current fitness, they'll find a program that's ideal for you. Everything I hoped for!
