Great prices and service! Startech Computers is always my first choice, when looking for anything computer hardware related. The staff is quite knowlegable and their prices always come in lower than anywhere else in town. I have also used them for computer repair and found them to be both speedy and reliable.

No where I've been do the technicians give you such a complete service for the unbelievable price. YOU WILL BE DISSAPPOINTED Giving Startech one star is being generous. I went to them on at the advice of a friend in the business. The first time I went there to get my laptop repaired they did an ok job. Not the quickest turnaround but it did get fixed. That's where they earned thier star. Brought my wifes desktop and laptop to be repaired took them almost three weeks and somehow, even though the tech said it was impossible, downloaded all the files from someone elses computer on to ours. Save your money time and get fewer gray hairs- go elsewhere!! Ok I had to rate it but it deserves NO STARS!! When StarTech opened its doors about 10 years ago in El Cajon, they were THE place to go for computer parts and computer service. Fast, friendly and efficient. But that was TEN YEARS AGO. Our last two encounters went like this: computer in for cleaning and service â 3 to 5 days â call computer ready â yes. Went to pick up â no not ready. Dear Poohs T.... haha, wow. Did you know that a DVD player can play CDs? If it wasn't playing a CD, then the drive was faulty. Sounds like the biggest problem here is people who think they know more than the techs. I've been going to Startech computers for like 6 or 7 years, sometimes it gets a little crowded or loud from the gaming center, but their work is top notch, their labor is waranteed, and their prices are very competitive. They will also boot up your computer (if you ask) after it's been serviced and let you use it... read more
