I left a review a few months ago on our experience with the Starnes in Rosedale VA area. After reading the reviews we trusted we would have the same wonderful experience everyone else had. We were greatly disappointed. When we contacted them to question why we were over charged for their services and why they put the over priced part on the heat pump without consulting us first (which is on the website: they will not do any repairs without first speaking to the customer so there are no hidden surprises) we were treated rudel... read more
We read the reviews that were on Google and trusted the people giving the reviews. So we decided to call Starnes & have them do a service call. The technician that did the service call was very polite and nice. However, on their website (which has MANY typos on it and that should have been the first red flag) has one amount for the service call, the person that made the appointment gave us one amount, and the technician that did the service call charged us another amount. Very pleased with our experience. AC slowly went out over the course of the weekend. I called their on-call service on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm, as our house had reached 78-80 degrees by then. The tech returned my call within 30 minutes. While he was not able to make a house call on the weekend as we were not existing customers, he walked me through several ways to troubleshoot our system. Fantastic service a couple months back from Mr. Jeff Haywood. Out of all the technicians I’ve had work on my system each year, Jeff did more than anyone ever has to make sure it was in tip-top shape and performing exactly as it should. I’ll be making sure he is the one I request to do my annual services going forward.
Best HVAC folks in the area. Key phrase, "Same Day Service!", is no joke.....
