Used them for 20++ years. Great vets! Spent something like $3K in 2020 with 'em...Problems over years with inconsistent meds pricing for regular meds and inconsistent front desk employees (never the same one[s]) These have returned. Now place appears to be run by teenagers at times...They've also dropped the mask requirement which means congregating in small low ceiling spaces. Not for us I am afraid.
My Great Dane/Lab severely cut his inter thigh and after contacting my regular vet and being told it was too late to bring him in and calling several mobile vet services and getting no call backs, I called Starnes Animal Clinic and was asked to send a picture of the cut. I took my kitten for her first visit a couple of weeks ago & was very happy with the clinic. This morning my moms dog had been poisoned and I called the clinic and they got her dog right in. He probably would not have made it if they hadn’t been willing to get him in so quickly & take such good care of him. Hopefully Kitchie will be back home tomorrow. I will never look elsewhere for a vet! So thankful for the staff at Starnes Animal Clinic! ❤️🐶 ❤️ 🐱❤️

Dr states examined my dog after having puppies. He told me everything was good that she looked great and was ok to go home. The next morning my dog was lethargic and I rushed her back up there. I was charged 300.00 for the examination the day before and was tapped out on money. They refused to even look at my shihtzu she died before we left the parking lot because I did not have another 177.00 right then. If I knew that I couldn't trust this man with my babies life. A huge shout out of thanks to Starnes animal clinic. I recommended a friend the other day and she brought her pup in and absolutely loved her experience. She gets very nervous with most vets and doesn’t trust anyone with her puppy. She loved Dr. Shirey and the team! All of the David kids love and appreciate the care and attention they get here!
Dr. G has gone above and beyond to help me with my sweet 8year old boxer. I’ve been to two other vets here in Tyler with my girl and none of them have showed as much compassion as she has. I will not be going to any other vet!
