The Stark showroom in Syosset is truly a standout in the industry. As an interior designer, I frequent many showrooms in NYC and Long Island, but the Stark Syosset team is hands-down one of my favorite showrooms for sourcing stunning carpets and luxurious rugs. Went to the Syosset location and found the salesperson both unhelpful and insulting. Rather than ask what my budget was she insinuated that the rug I was looking at was out of my budget. Wow! I also asked twice for her to speak a little louder because she was barely above a whisper. Her response was, “I have a headache today and didn’t want to shout.” Seriously?! They need better trained and more courteous people. Customer service is very poor there. Plenty of other places to spend your money.
The Stark showroom at Syosset is a pleasure to shop at and is top notch when it comes to customer service. One of two locations open to the public. I called for assistance with finding a new rug. The showroom manager, Gary Greenwald, immediately called me back and said he’d be able to help. I went through the trouble of mailing him fabric samples only to never hear from him again.
