Solid. Cool theme and good cocktails.
Sad to say our experience was very disappointing. We had reservations for 4 and arrived a few minutes early. A party of two arrived just ahead of us and was sat a table for 4-6 while we were sat at a table for 2-3. It took 45 minutes to receive our drinks and our food, (4 course tasting menu) came out almost all at once with no room on the table for all the plates. At over $60 per person I was hoping for a Travail experience, but received a chaotic mess.
The tasting menu was a pretty solid deal. Highlights for us were the cauliflower, slab salad, and mapo'matriciana pasta. The cocktails were also great and we enjoyed sitting up at the bar. Somewhat slower service for food as other reviews say, however, the bartenders were handling most of it so that was understandable to us. Looking forward to the new concept coming soon!
Went there for the tasting menu…. Which was Devine!!! Slab salad, Casarecce carbonara, Waygu Zabuton, roasted mushrooms and tiramisu. All so tasty!! But the drinks that Jasper made us were fricken amazing!! He has a gift for unique drinks!! Every single one was fantastic!! Sad this concept is coming to an end!! Hope whatever you come up with next is just as mind blowing as tonight was!!
Pretentious is an understatement. Very disappointing experience at Stargazer. I sat at the bar for over 20 minutes and were never acknowledged by a bartender or server. I was given water and a menu, and that was it. The water was not suppose to be mine but as bartender was filling it up for another person, they gave it to me instead-seemingly like an act of pity. No words were said to me. No one came over to take a drink order, food order, or even say, “We’ll be with you shortly” or “hello.” Not a single word was said to me.... read more
