What's good is that there is lots of seating and a large menu. I thought the food was great tasting and there are so many other dishes I'd like to try. Honestly, I'd give a top score based on taste and variety alone. I curbed the rating just slightly based on the server not fully understanding the menu and the quiet ambiance (it was a slow weekday evening on my visit, but some music or something would be nice... it felt like I was eating at a library). Overall, I think this place is worthy of frequent visits.
I have visited a lot of restaurants in NYC, and Stargate is one if the Best! I bring out-of-town visitors to Stargate, on a regular basis. Good service, good food, good customers. I should know. I'm a 66 yr-old Native New Yorker.
Great breakfast and excellent service every day during our stay at UES.
