Went in to get a water bottle filled. It’s a large 1.5 ltr bottle and the fountains at the beach are designed in a way that I could only fill it a qtr of the way. I’m on a seriously limited income. I’m ALSO walking the coast. Currently at Mile 8,866. Screw fibromyalgia keeping me stuck in bed. And I’m currently continuing this walk with a 50 pound pack, on 2 forearm crutches becuz my knees keep trying to give out and bend sideways. Still I Don’t Quit. Coffee was good. Funny though because when I entered there was an older white woman with a long ponytail, blonde. She wasn't mean at all but I still felt uneasy ordering. Her energy was conflicting with my own. When I walked in she narrowed in on me almost as if she was mustering up the energy to be polite. I'm a woman of color. Her "kindness" felt forced. Standards are very high and the staff is wonderful.
We had a bad experience with the older blonde lady with pushy attitude, and just overall mean and crude. Her makeup scared the kids omg! We just wanted coffee, but her vibe ruined the whole experience. If you read some of these reviews, you will find out we were not alone in this.
Terrible service (Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 7pm), we were waiting for the team to take our order, and a young man walked in straight to the cashier, and the barista decided to take his order. We felt very disrespected and discriminated, given we are a POC group…
