Went for a cup of ice water and was denied service . The lady stated they just came up with a rule that they can not give out ice water unless you purchase something. I asked if I could pay for the cup itself and she stated no I can not . She can give me a bottle water . I was immediately irritated and suprised . I went down the st to portillos and the man happily gave me a free cup of ice water with extra ice. Mind you...its 89 degrees and sunny. Starbucks in Brookfield...get a grip . Be more human.
Slow as hell
It was over 90°F today, and I asked if I could get a cup of ice water through the drive-thru. I was told, "You'll need to purchase something." I would be more understanding if this were a cool fall day, but in extreme heat, access to drinking water can be a health and safety issue. I understand businesses can't give away free items indefinitely, even if it's just ice water, and I respect that policies exist.
