I live a few blocks from this Starbucks, and have been a daily patron since it opened over twenty years, ago. Continously, great staff, and great coffee (cold brew). I've never bought any of their food or baked goods (not into prepackaged stuff). During the school year, it seems between the hours of 11a -2p, the place is often overrun by high-school students who are loud and rude. Nevertheless, I do my best to avoid the ill-mannered teens, as the staff and coffee are great.

Dear Starbucks Management, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent interaction I had with a staff member at your Glen Ellyn Starbucks Crescent Blvd While ordering, I made a casual comment to my friends about the iced coffee not being prepared to my liking ("this isn't light ice"). A staff member, seemingly overhearing, responded with unnecessary rudeness, suggesting she could remake the drink, but in a tone that implied my request was an undue burden during a busy period. Level of service was sub par. Asked for a specific drink and was questioned about it. Women kept saying “I don’t know what you want.” Seemed confused. I told her 3 times what I wanted. Wasn’t that difficult. Especially at Starbucks where customers have choices and the freedom to create their own drinks! I’ve ordered that drink at all the other Starbucks and have never had it questioned. Also: Manager was disciplining workers in front of customers. Not somewhere I would go again.
