Huge shout-out to Dasha at the register! I ordered a drink I’d found on the “secret menu”—a lemonade and raspberry drink with mango popping pearls—and it was one she hadn’t seen before. Instead of brushing it off or making me figure it out, Dasha looked at the recipe on my phone, helped work through the order, and was incredibly friendly and helpful about the whole thing. Went to the Starbucks at Albany International Airport. Everything seemed normal. But I noticed there was nobody in line which is very uncommon. I ordered a latte and it was seven dollars and change. Normally at all Other Starbucks it’s in the four dollar range.. After purchasing my latte, I noticed a “Common Grounds”coffee vendor in the same area. It had a long line of people waiting. Cages down in front of the storefront half an hour after their listed opening time (according to both their app and google maps). Someone behind the counter, they are just sitting there with the cages down. Needless to say, mobile ordering was not available despite there being a QR code sign posted in the concourse saying to scan to place a mobile order.
The staff at this location are so kind and friendly. They were just sooooo sweet to my 5 year old and made her feel like a million bucks. They asked us questions about our travel and wished us well on our way. I wish every Starbucks was like this.
