They apparently have a “policy” that you can’t be in their restaurant without making some sort of purchase. This is new to me, as a college student I have sat in many coffee shops with/without making a purchase. It was very slow inside, there was no demand for tables and I wasn’t drawing attention.
I came through about a week ago and the staff was extremely rude and dismissive. Did not feel comfortable ordering from this particular Starbucks.
Nothing wrong with the order. What was wrong was the employee who was helping. I went through the drive-thru and did a split order ( I asked, as always, if it was okay to do one split as there wasn’t anyone behind me). They said yes. I ordered a vanilla steamer for my client who is on a fixed budget and on the second ticket got myself a food item. Although the drinks were pretty good, the staff wasn’t the best. Felt like they were pretty judgmental. Labeling us as Canadians just based on how we looked. Vibe was off, but there’s always room for improvement.
