Came in on my birthday to use the Starbucks birthday reward, but even after updating my birthday in the app and showing my ID, the situation was handled awkwardly and with unnecessary pushback. A coworker even said “just give it to him,” which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. kinda killed the whole vibe for my 18th bday
im amazed on how staff is ashamed to say a hispanic name and yet say a caucasian name with a very happy enthusiasm and smile in their face. maybe next time i’ll bleach my skin white and change my name from Tamales to John Smith. and mess up the order 2 times and still gave me an attitude when the drink was give to me.
