When I approached the counter, the barista at the register and another employee were engaged in conversation. I waited for an appropriate moment to place my order; however, they continued speaking without acknowledging my presence, despite my standing directly in front of them. Waited 13 minutes around 2:30 PM on a Tuesday to place my order. There was only one employee taking and fulfilling orders even though there was a 2nd employee doing side work and a line of more than 10 people. I understand that side work needs to be done, however it’s called “side work” because it is supposed to be done on the side when there are not customers to serve. When the wait time becomes longer than it takes to drive three Starbucks over, it’s time to pivot back to the line and help your coworker serve the customers... read more
