This was hands down the worst service I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. The drive-through employee (name tag said Fer) showed absolutely no customer service—no greeting, no smile, no acknowledgment at all. I had to ask for my total because it was never given to me. My total was $7.79, and I handed her a $10 bill and clearly said to keep the change. She didn’t respond or acknowledge me in any way, so I wasn’t even sure she heard me. As a former partner, I was extremely surprised to be told that Starbucks now will only give you a glass of water if a purchase is made. To confirm, I reached out to a current partner who clarified that this is not company policy. Guests may still request a complimentary water, and the only exception is during high-volume rush periods. They CANNOT get the banana protein matcha right! At every other Starbucks, the banana protein is on the top of the matcha. Here, you get small stream of it throughout your watery matcha. So frustrating for a $9 drink!
