My experience at this location left me no choice. Two of the staff members made me feel genuinely unwelcome from the moment I walked in. The woman at the register — who notably wasn’t wearing a name tag (which, in hindsight, makes perfect sense) had absolutely zero interest in providing basic customer service. When I ordered a horchata shaken espresso with no ice, both she and the barista Odessa reacted as if I’d asked for something bizarre, exchanging looks and repeating “no ice?” like it was an absurd request. Food was nice, and i loved my drinks. The service was terrible, the lady at the counter was rude, dismissive and looked like she hated her job. There was no welcoming energy, no nothing. Just a “what do you want” kind of vibe. The names on my friend and i’s cups were spelled wrong. The names I gave was Autumn and Eliza(she spelled her name out for them and they still got it wrong.) my name was spelled “Atom” and my friends’ name was smelled Eliea. Starbucks ☕ ☕ Right inside the Hyatt Regency, this Starbucks feels a bit different — calmer, more tucked into the rhythm of the city. I was reading quietly and the member of staff kept interrupting me to the point I felt very uncomfortable. Then he began cleaning and interrupted me again. I gesticulated its fine to clean around me but he kept waving his hand and wouldnt stop. Again i found his behaviour most inappropriate. At that time my phone rang but the guy kept waving. There is a huge volleyball tournament going on and the hotel is packed. Starbucks obviously busy. Twice I came here today and recieved zero interaction/Customer service/friendly vibe from the cashiers. Man it’s frustrating. We’re over paying for drinks we’re looking for at least an acknowledge that we are here. It’s Starbucks, so of course we’ll be back but those two do not need to be behind the register.
