Very unprofessional and very slow staff, especially the white female Barista. The prices at this hotel Starbucks are inflated, yet this location never adequately prepares certain coffee orders/ refuses to give a cup of water to a paying customer/ didn’t understand how to prepare coffee “without” ice / and repeatedly openly heckled the customer. The white female openly heckled a African American customer.
If I could give zero stars I would. I had a truly frustrating experience here over several days. Not only is the service disorganized waiting 20+ minutes while later customers received "sold out" items I was denied but their policy on water is unacceptable. For three days straight, they were out of bottled water. Despite explaining that I needed a small amount of water to take medication, the staff refused to give me even a tiny cup of tap/filtered water, insisting I "had" to buy bottled (which they didn't have). I’ve been coming to this location for three years and it has definitely improved! The staff seem to care more and it seems better run overall than before.
For how busy this location gets, why does the management team only have 1 person working on the drinks. No issues with the workers, as the two staff members were extremely nice and moving quickly, the issue is 100% management and their staffing choices. This location is connected to a hotel and is right next to a massive convention center, yet they staff a single worker for making drinks...crazy. It took 56 minutes to get an iced coffee. Don't think much more needs to be said.
