Pros - Much more spacious than most luxury buildings in LIC + high ceilings - Great views above 12th floor or so - Very good, central location with easy access to many stores and subway lines Cons - Building management went from poor to atrocious with AKAM taking over. Weeks to get approval for minor things, from disinterested, unfriendly staff. There’s a sound in the vent in the kitchen that is quite loud. It’s like living in a wind tunnel. I’m told that it’s a flaw in the building design. Maybe not the worse thing but this sound drives me nuts. I can hear from the bedroom and need white noise to cover it up. When I first arrived it was off but now it has to stay on. I’d be very careful. There have been other issues such as the elevators.
The elevators are awful. 1 is extremely loud. 1 doesn't even work. This has been going on for over a year. It's like a loud engine/motor sound that vibrates through this apartment. It's unreal.
