We are staying in the area for the summer and our Westie and Cocker Spaniel needed grooming. Star Hill’s groomer is great. The dogs look gorgeous and were happy as could be when I picked them up. Normally they stress the process a lot. Thanks Star Hill!

A big thank you to Star Hill Veterinary Clinc and Dr. James for squeezing in Hank yesterday. We weren't sure what was up our big boy wasn't acting right. He wouldn't eat and running a fever Since he is known to eat anything, (ex. socks, food in and with the plastic bag, a whole pecan pie tearing into the plastic bag!) I got him to throw up a little food. So we took him in. In between surgeries and other patients Dr. James did x-rays before and after getting him to throw a wad of leaves and grass. They are there for you when you need them. My family and I were camping in Kerrville Tx and had an emergency with our dog. No vet in the area is available after hours and the closest emergency clinic was 1 and a half hours away in San Antonio. I called the emergency number expecting to get an answering service or to leave a message. One of the veterinarians on staff answered the phone and talked me though how to handle the situation. On Monday afternoon after months of trying to help my cat, Tiger, I made the decision to let her go. I want to thank Dr. James and his assistant Ronnie(?) for their love and compassion for Tiger. Dr. James had been treating her for some time and he helped her all he could. Dr. James prayed over her as he administered the medication and then we all said the Lord's Prayer!
