I had an eye appointment today at Stanton Optical in Harbison today. The optometrist for my appointment was Dr.Holcombe. Blakely was with me and she was sitting in the corner of the room quietly. I told her if she was good I would take her to get ice cream or frozen yogurt after. As our appointment was finishing up and we were walking out the room Dr.Holcombe said “she’s cute but I think it’s time you all cut her off at her end of the table.” I was stunned because did he really just make a comment on my child’s weight? ... read more
The customer service here is awesome. The doctor was very knowledgeable and nice.
I went for an eye exam and felt that because I have insurance they prescribed glasses. I have concerns for the honesty and integrity of Stanton on Harbison. Had I seen the negative feedback, I would not have made an appointment. Pushed for me to purchase that day. I don't like their sales methods.
I never wore glasses before. The Dr. And the entire team were all welcoming, swift, and helpful! Especially Christiana P. She helped me pick my two favorite pair out of the 3 that I had the most difficult time with choosing! Thanks a lot guys. I recommend Stanton Optical to everyone....definitely the location on harbison Blvd. In Columbia Sc.
The doctor at Stanton Optical did an amazing job helping my son achieve the right prescription. He has a corneal disease which makes it harder to examine him. The doctor was so caring and knowledgable about treating him. He will definitely be coming back as his eyes will change. I would recommend this doctor to anyone. I live an 1.5 hours away but I will make the trip just to see this doctor. The price was exactly what I was originally quoted and he received his glasses within an hour like promised.

This is the most horrible business I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their customer service is nonexistent! The glasses I paid $435.00 for are the wrong prescription along with the fact that I paid for the Ultra Premium lenses that were supposed to be Stanton's version of Crizal lenses and not have a glare to them. I paid for all of the extras, transitions, hard coat, ARC, UV protection, etc. The first time I drove at night, I had to take the glasses off to be able to see because every light was like a starbur... read more
I ordered my glasses and received the wrong frames. The customer service rep was indifferent to my situation.Spent 30 minutes picking out new frames and will have to wait for new ones to come in. I live an hour away which is really an inconvenience. There was no apology offered. Waiting on new frames very disappointed at the moment.
