If you have the chance, turn around and go with someone else. Anyone else. Terrible quality, non-existent after sale care and a warranty that is not worth the paper it is printed on. Do a little digging and you will find the mountains of complaints. The company is doing whatever it can to delete, hide or silence to complaints. Case in point - they blocked reviews on their FB page. Ask around before falling into their trap
They publish teaser prices and you come in to realize that the standard spec sheet is embarrassing to say the least. Later, I mentioned it to a colleague and she gave me the number of her friend who bought from them and she spilled out a horror story. A quick online search shows many similar stories about quality issues and no accountability after the sale. Do your research, I'm happy we did ours.
This is my 2nd review of Stanley Martin homes. (Which I left on Facebook, but seems they have removed the review option from their FB page) It was specifically about the warranty program. We had some issues back in December, mainly with scheduling repairs and workers either not showing up, or showing up without the means to complete the repairs. Major damage to my home that was covered by a cabinet and only surfaced 6 years later. Stanley Martin did nothing to right this error and never returned my call.
