Homeowners beware! Absolutely the WORST. Not only did Stanhope send a 20 year old appraiser with basically no experience, they undervalued my home by 100k less than the previous appraisal (done 6 months prior)- despite market value in Portsmouth increasing almost 10% over the past 12 months! Stanhope took forever to complete the appraisal, was lazy and unresponsive in their communication and blew up my HELOC. Do not use Stanhope if you want a CORRECT valuation of your home!

Owner came and looked at my properties. He didn't even care about the beachfront properties and wouldn't look at it. "I've seen it all before ". Expensive and unprofessional. Use at you're own risk.
Much like the appraisal issues from the one other review on Angie’s list, the appraiser Ann from The Stanhope Group blew our refinance out of the water with low values, inaccurate information and miscalculations with numbers. Ann was nice and has over 20 years’ experience but none of that really matters if the end result costs time, money and aggravation.
