Great service, average food – I took a group of friends and family to the Stanhope Grille for Restaurant Week. When the first few of our party arrived, we were escorted to the "dining room" to "get away from all of the noise" by the bar. It was a Thursday night so it was very very loud. Unfortunately the room was right next to the bar, so it was still very loud. A little off-putting, but the hostess was nice in a pretentious sort of way. It's a SIX Star Place! – My best friend and I discovered this gem during Restaurant Week about three years ago, and have been hooked ever since. The service is, without question, the BEST I've had in any city and outshines all others in Boston. As noted in the other post, Greg is amazing and incredibly nice, as is the rest of the staff. Great Service, romantic – My boyfriend & I went there last night for Restaurant Week. Our server, Greg was excellent. He was attentive, courteous and very professional. Our meal was delicious. We both started off with the plentiful caesar salad as our appetizer. My entree was the mushroom strudel which again was huge. (but yummy). My boyfriend loved his beef tenderloins.
