My grandmother came to Stanford Hospital on July 13 and was admitted to the MICU. Although she didn't make it, everyone that we interacted with here, from the nurses and doctors to the social workers, were compassionate and competent. Checking up on my grandma's health records through the online system was easy, and the doctors took time out of their busy days to meet with our entire family at least 3 times, without ever rushing us. They won’t feed her because they say she could be taken into surgery at any point but they are not giving her any idea when. She’s a nursing mother and hasn’t seen her baby in over two days.
