I originally left a review based solely on our wait time and not being seen, but I want to update it after a more recent experience. Last Sunday, we had an emergency with my daughter, and the care we received was excellent. Everyone we encountered was respectful and knowledgeable, especially the nurse on duty. We're truly grateful for the help we received at this ER.
We had an excellent experience here. When my son had an asthma attack triggered by a common cold, the staff saw him right away and ensured he was transferred to the ICU for the care he needed.
My daughter injured her finger in a door accident this evening. It took three hours before a nurse cleaned the wound with water, another three hours before an X-ray was taken, and then two more hours before an emergency physician examined her. The emergency physician’s conclusion was simply, “Let’s have a hand surgeon take a look.” This process was extremely inefficient and unacceptable. My son has been sick since September and not a single doctor can find out what's wrong with him... so I sent my fiance to Standford with our little one ( mind you, we live about 45 to 50 minutes away) I stayed on the phone with him the entire time while he was there... I'm so very disappointed and frustrated with the entire staff, nurses and doctors. Never expected them to treat my fiance the way they did, let alone deny my son. Horrible state of affairs. Avoid at all costs. I came in with my daughter and they didn’t see here for hours. No one cares here.
