Terrible place. Staff and lead doctor are completely apathetic and clearly have compassion fatigue.
Could’ve given 0 stars if I could. The department is severely understaffed, and it took three hours before we were finally called in for treatment. The doctors were okay, but the overall experience was extremely frustrating. If you have another option for pediatric emergency care anywhere in the Bay Area, go there instead. The wait here is simply not worth it. The waiting room was very small, cluttered, and packed with children crying and waiting for care. It was a terrible experience. I was there with my 2 years old in March during night around 2am because she had a high fever of 104° for one week. There was a security check to enter and they didn’t allow us to bring water inside, we wait there for 2 hours, during the time, the baby wanted water and they didn’t allow me to give water or any food to the baby who has a high fever until we see the doctor.
