I've been waiting to receive my contacts for a full calendar year now, and I can't get ahold of anyone here, Worst service.
It’s been almost a year I they still haven’t gotten my glasses they take advantage of people an there money the last time I ask for a refund unfortunately I had to go back because the insurance only work with them now iv been experiencing head aces an sleeping problem because I can’t afford to got get them some where else it’s ridiculous that it’s taken this long an still no answer all they care about is taken peoples money an not helping my vision got worse for waiting on getting my glasses they had my uncuts in the store b... read more
Was just by there today and there is a note from Layton mall management saying they just up and abandoned the store a few weeks ago didn’t even inform Layton hills mall my experience a year ago was similar took 6 months to get my contacts and they said it was due to contact manufacturer shortages funny thing was my nephew works for 1800 contacts and he check if that was affecting them and he said nope we can get those everyday all day 8days a week so I knew something was fishy
Honestly, I’ve had the worst experience with this location. Ordered contacts 8 months ago, still waiting for them to come in. Every month I try to call I have to try 5 times before someone finally answers. Then I get the runaround of “they’ll be in by the end of the month” and when I ask for a sample lense to get me through the month, I get told they don’t have any in stock and I need to call around to the other Standard Optical locations. It’s been a nightmare from the start.
Standard Optical has closed for bankruptcy! To be a local company that profited off of loyal local patients, to only have their locations close without ANY notice to their patients is irresponsible at best! If they restructure and re-open, I will NEVER be a customer again! They had no signage, no greeting change on their voicemails. Just up and closed their locations with no respect for patients with appointments or that had paid for new glasses or contacts.
