We’re staying in Lead, been riding in rain all day on bikes. Wanted a sit down place close by have some food and drinks. Stampmill was close by, called to see if they were open/how long. (It was Father’s Day around 4pm). Bob answered the phone and said had to make reservations, grill closes at 8pm. Made reservations for 6, arrived there early. Didn't get a chance to try the place. Was told they were to busy unless I had a reservation. There were only a couple people in the restaurant. The employee talking to us was then a little surprised and rude that we didn't want to wait an hour to be seated. Stay away from this place?

We tried to eat here. My review is strictly on service, as we did not have the opportunity to try the food. We understand they were busy, we were willing to wait, they were unwilling to take us. Upon entering we were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. We said no problem. They replied that it could be longer and obviously did not want us to wait. That person left. We waited. Asked someone else of we could wait. And we're told to go to Bob's down the street as they "take pretty much anyone". Hopefully the good is better tha... read more

Had dinner here on a Saturday night. It was ok. My mom got soup of the day which I think was something potato but it was end of the pot so had all the spices. Too much black pepper flavor so she couldn't eat it. Got chicken Marsala which was good...just tasted very buttery. It is a cute and historic place but was just ok!
