The turkey pastrami Rachel sandwich was sooooo good. I am still thinking about it a week later!! The potato salad and homemade pickles were also great! The staff were really friendly and super tolerant of my 1 year old nephew wanting to watch the breadmaking. There really isn't a dine in option, but Hudson park is about 2.5 blocks away with a few shaded picnic tables :)
Tried it for the first time today. I had planned on eating in, only to discover that's not an option and there are no tables or chairs. I had the pastrami Reuben and while it was decent to good, it was messy...and my to go bag contained no napkins. Since I couldn't eat in, I had to eat the sandwich in my car. Just know this going in. $21 for a can of Diet Coke, bag of chips and the sandwich. Everything is pricey these days, and I felt this was maybe just a few dollars too much in the present economy. The person that took our order, was very sarcastic, and rude. He didn't care about the customers feeling, no compassion at all. I ordered two corn beef sandwiches for myself and my daughter. Both sandwiches were so greasy and dripping with grease. I took a picture of this sandwich. Not only that, the corn beef meat itself was so much fat and very very very dripping in grease. This place has a lot of nerve calling itself a Deli. I drove an hour and a half to pick up a sandwich for later that evening. I was told that "We only make sandwiches on Thursdays". The staff was busy making rolling dough for breads. They have a small cooler in the front with 3 or 4 types of meat in the window. There was all kinds of breads and rolls on display, and they did not have the ability to slice some meat and slap it on a roll? I read the reviews before I drove there. Google maps said they were open. And their website said that they were open. We drive across town to get one of their renowned pastrami sandwiches only to be told the kitchen was closed. If you are going to close early, try to update it somewhere...
