Get the Pastrami! – If you are going to the Stage deli, chances are someone has suggested it to you. And here's what else you should have been told, Get the Pastrami, try the Cheesecake and enjoy! Awesome cheescake – Forget the sandwiches and go right for the cheescake at this theater district mainstay (you won't have room if you don't). The portions are enormous, by all means share. the meat in your sandwich migh be a bit dry and underseasoned. But, again, you go there for the CHEESECAKE, I always get blueberry but you can take your pick from an excellent variety. It's the best cheesecake in the world.

Tourist Magnet – I went here once and ordered a meatloaf sandwich. The prices are a little steep for deli fare, but that's to be expected, I suppose, of any famous or popular Manhattan deli (i.e. Carnegie, or Ben's). The sandwich was gigantic. However, the meatloaf itself was pretty bland. There didn't seem to be much to it, other than a bunch of ground beef and bread crumbs. It is what it is-it's great – We love visiting NYC, and every single time we go to the Stage-it's a tradition. The food is awesome, service is usually very good, and it's just so New York. For my family a visit to NY without going to the Stage would feel wrong! We love the atmosphere.

Only came here for breakfast but A+ I have only had the privilege of coming here once, and it was to eat breakfast on the way to the airport but I truly wish I could come here again since I have never had a better French Toast in a deli in New York in my life.

The Stage deli, you can see the stars! What can be said about this venerable eating institution that hasn't been said before.. A trip to New York for us wouldn't be complete without a meal or should I gigantic meal at the Stage.

Waaaay Overhyped – I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great, but they've mistaken quantity for quality. I'd much rather have 1/4 the amount of meat with proper sides and presentation.

Now that's a lot of Pastrami! – This place was recommended to me by a friend who went to New York. Thumbs up on this recommendation, it proved to be a wonderful place to eat lunch. Wait staff was helpful and friendly. Loved the pickles they give you. Meat piled high to the sky. It was very crowded but that only added to the atmosphere in this great little deli tucked in the sprawling streets of New York City.

Great Pastrami – Best pastrami I have ever eaten. My wife had the brisket dinner and it was terrific also. The service was average and seating a little cramped. But I would definitely reccomend it.
