Had an appointment scheduled. Was called a few days before and told by the girl on the phone they won’t be seeing new patients and she could put me on a wait list if they decide to see new patients again….. Of course I was upset as I’ve waited 2 months for this appointment, and her reply was “well someone died in the office”. My apologies that someone died in the office, if you were calling to reschedule no big deal. 3rd time they’ve cancelled. This time their reasoning was he isn’t accepting new patients now. My wife was already on a 8 month wait.
Highly recommend Dr. Thornton! His nurse practitioners Whitney & Jessica are great as well! They made me feel comfortable throughout my whole pregnancy & answered any questions I had. I had a history of shoulder dystocia with my first pregnancy & had delivered with a different Obgyn at the time, & I chose to go with Dr Thornton for my 2nd & 3rd pregnancy, he recommended c section to prevent this from happening again, he made sure to give me & my babies a healthy, safe, delivery, with no complications! From what I've been told, him and his l and d team are terrible with informed consent. I've been told they don't tell you when they up your pitocin. Also heard that he has given stitches and failed to mention it beforehand. The least they could do is spend a little time saying a few extra words to make their patients comfortable.
Go somewhere else for Post partum care.
