Late December 2025 I was instructed by their patient admission staff to fast from 7.30 am for 2.30 pm surgery. On arrival the paperwork and comms seemed to be standard and my pick up person was informed he would receive the phone call for pick up from Arj. I was then dressed in a scratchy,dirty, threadbare gown and was asked to place clothes, jewellery and mobile in their tray- bag and sit on a chair surrounded by curtains on all sides. No one arrived. I had screws removed from my foot today.. Drs and nurses pre-op and in recovery superb. I was taken to the Day Ward.. initially ok. I got dressed and sat in recliner. I was then told “no one is picking you up until 2.30? That’s not good enough! Find someone else”. I responded that I hadn’t been told when to be picked up and offered to.sit in reception! i thought this was exclusive for Vinny but i got given several pieces of cheese for leaving along with a promised dog walk. i will update soon with whether they will walk my uncle Dom, down the road.

Last month I spent 5 nights at St Vincent’s Kew following fusion foot surgery. Highest of praise to the team, so efficient with pain management, constantly checking on me. Great to have a private room, food is really good and prepared to order.

Great nurses and staff made me feel safe and welcome after being nervous for surgery
