When the decision was made that she could no longer receive treatment and would move to palliative care, this devastating news was delivered to her by a random nurse—not by Dr De Boer himself. I was an inpatient for 3 days, Level 1 following a total hip joint replacement. Feeling incredibly grateful. So happy with the entire team, the consistency of nursing staff who were so kind & patient with a good sense of humour, the cleaners, the kitchen /meals (room service: it's plain but appropriate for a person recovering). EVERYONE has been so helpful & encouraging, nothing is too much trouble for them. Shout out to the Charge Nurse of the Orthopaedic Ward for running such an awesome team. Excellent experience in all aspects when my daughter was in for the day for a procedure. Everything was very organised both in the communications ahead of the admission and whilst at the hospital. The staff were professional , kind and very helpful. They are well set up to cater for children with specialised areas and rooms and staff engaged really well with my child, explaining everything at the appropriate level. The facilities were good. I can’t thanks the nurses enough in the kids ward who made my sons overnight stay so pleasant after his tonsillectomy The ward clerk Sig was the sweetest Nurse Grace was so kind with my son and another nurse (forgot her name) was so cool to chat with and made me, the mother feel so comfortable. Food was also great and you can never complain with ice cream and juice on tap!!
