My sister’s mother in law was admitted to the Willamdra unit today specialising in dementia. Without exception, all staff were polite, caring and made Madlin feel welcome, especially given her condition. I can’t remember all the names but TANIA stood out as being my first point of contact and has the most amazing personality for this position. She is super caring and just a lovely lady to be caring for others. I am sure my sister made the very best choice for her mother in law.
Their Memory Support Unit failed my father, kicked out after a week.
We were really worried when our Mum had to move in to aged care, especially since it was in the middle of Covid! Sadly it was too hard for her to continue living at home alone following a fall and subsequent surgery and delirium. Right from our original contact to check room availabilities, we were treated with kindness and understanding. Her room is lovely with a comfortable hospital type bed and ensuite.
