The detox is very new (new location, new facility), just down the street from the old location. As far as a detox goes it's an excellent facility over all, with multiple TV lounges, nice clean showers and decent food. They allow you to have your cell phone and allow you a fair amount of outing time per day. Their day programs are good and are mostly CBT oriented. Sherbourne Detox has some very good professionals who truly care about clients and treat people with dignity and respect. Those staff members make a real difference during a very vulnerable time, and their support does not go unnoticed. That said, there are also areas that really need improvement. There often seem to be four or five workers on shift, but many of them stay behind the desk and have very little interaction with clients. Tried to call to get information for services over the phone and whatever insecure woman was on the other line was insanely impatient as well as assumptive, answering questions before id even finished asking them. I highly recommend going literally anywhere else. These people make it clear that they won’t help you before you’ve even entered the building. Staff completely incapable of managing or administering medications. They are also completely disinterested in their clients welfare.
