If I could give this zero stars I would. First off you are not a patient...you are a transaction. To get an update or status of a loved one don't ever expect a phone call from them until they are ready for them to be discharged. They will happily meet you downstairs, hand u a bag of stuff telling you about all the info you need to read, load the patient I to the car and off you go...that is until you are miles down the road getting a phone call that you need to come back because they forgot to give you the meds. Horrible communication they over did my grandma IV and cause her to get watered logged and she got bed sores from them not getting her up. They never returned calls they lose important paperwork and act as they never received it they ignored her light I had to care for her whiles I was there giving meds late and then to early and close time same medication. I pulled my loved one out.
Yesterday took husband to Essentia ER for excruciating abdomen pain. Got in quickly. Timeline: 5:10 am arrive, 5:20 in room. 7/8 pain, asked for pain relief. 6:00 Dr came in again asked for pain relief. IV 6:20 asked again. 6:50 Bathroom, specks of blood? Asked for pain relief again! 7:15 called nurse, no response. Called nurse at 7:15 called nurse again (shift change? No response! Finally got some pain relief at 8:20! 3 hrs with NO relief!!
