I was taken care of as soon as I arrived. I was placed in a ER room and treatment started right away. I was then admitted, however my total time in the ER room was 10 hours. I was still getting good treatment, but wanted to be taken to a room with a more comfortable bed. I did push the call light once and no one came. When I got to a room, I was checked on often and monitored. The nurses and other staff were very kind to me. Dr Khalid was very attentive when I met with him as well. I would go back to SMMC again.

So far this emergency department is one of the worst we have been waititng in the lobby for a while now and my wife has possible blood clots in her lungs yet people have come here way after yet get taken back first so apparently my wife is less of a person than the rest sense the let others infront of her when they came in way after

I witnessed a security guard take a young woman's vape juice and said he was going to throw it away. Her man said no we will just leave and he grabbed the box of vape juice back off the podium. The office bared him from hospital. I spoke to the young man and he said it cost him almost 100 dollars for that vape juice . I questioned another security guard and he said no that was not procedure it was not policy to take vape juice even cbd juice as it is legal. Had the misfortune of needing to stay in the hospital for a few days. I was treated with the best care anyone could have ask for
